He’s a defensive liability. I have my concerns if the organization can turn him around, but he’s low cost. Use him 4th line and power plays to start. Not a tocchet guy, at least currently.

As long as our coaching staff can teach him some defence, which I think they can, he'll be a good utility player for us. I don't think that we should gift him a starting spot on the roster, he's going to have to work for it, but having that extra competition and injury back-up is a good thing. Go Canucks Go!

If Canucks can teach Sprong to focus on the man instead of the puck on the defensive end he could improve on that area of his game can actually fit the top 6.

i'ld still like to see joshua move up to miller's line to give it more physicallity and garland moved to petey and dubrusk's line to give them more puck possession in the oz. sprong on either 3rd or 4th line. enjoy your family trip and time. god bless.

as a caps fan i hated we traded him to seatle, he finishes well,usually with a goal, never understood why teams trade him away. not many minutes, he fits a cup contender and can fill in anywhere. i saw he was available i was hoping the caps sign him back but we have several 22 and under guys we want to give some nhl experience and were not contenders this year, congrats on this signing,he will help you.

A surprising signing. Sure, his name was connected to the Canucks, but I didn't think it would had made sense with the team cap as it is. I view this as more depth in the bottom 6.

Hi Clay , is this still happening this summer? I was in Roger’s arena a few weeks ago and they still haven’t started installing the new black ones in the lower bowl.

i like joshua/ miller/ boeser; heinen/ petey/ debrusk; podkolzin/ suter/ garland; hoglander/ blueger/ sherwood. imo petey's line with heinen and bebrusk gives that line all the right elements to be a successful line. chemistry is important though.

My concern with Silovs as his play was ok for a third string goaltender in a tough situation . But how much of a book does the rest of the NHL have on him now .
